Hi There!
My name is Jethro and welcome to A Sailor’s Odyssey. This is a unique travel blog about where I’ve sailed with the Royal Canadian Navy. I was a Boatswain’s Mate onboard the Kingston-Class patrol ships. I served active duty on these ships from 2017 to 2020 and again from Dec 2021 to July 2022. I took a year off to complete my Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Seneca College in 2021. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University and a Diploma in Police Studies from Seneca.
My time in the Navy taught me how to be an effective and compassionate junior supervisor, the values of a hard work ethic, and more importantly… the value of camaraderie inherent in military service. I’ve made lifelong friendships, which is something I continue to cherish.
I’m currently a Freelance Digital Marketer with experience using WordPress and Elementor Pro to redesign websites for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). I advise clients on proper social media marketing strategies to effectively reach their target audience(s) and I’ve also done Quality Assurance Processing, helping brands maintain their messaging from old to new sites.
